It feels cliché to say but this year has really flown by. It’s hard to believe that it has almost been a year since we stood outside of Long Meadow Ranch winery enjoying some of their delicious Rosé. Yet, in January, a year will have gone by and yesterday I got to taste the new 2016 vintage of Long Meadow Ranch’s “Farmstead” Cabernet.
The wines at Long Meadow Ranch are all made using Sustainable & Organic farming techniques so if you’re looking for that California Cab that won’t give you headaches, this may be the one for you.
I have this wine IN STOCK today so come by and grab some.
MySomm Tasting Notes: “This wine sees 75% neutral, & 25% new French Oak. On the nose you can detect aromas of cassis, cedar, menthol, & a touch of anise. On the palate the wine is full-bodied with grippy, yet elegant tannins. Flavors of graphite and smoky blueberry are joined by subtle notes of dried Herbs de Provence. The finish is long with great structure and continues for quite some time. Bottom line, this is packs a whole lot of value for the price.”
