2017 Freedom Estate Sauvignon Blanc

Freedom Estate is a special project of Steve Reynolds, the namesake & winemaker of Reynolds Family Winery, and Shawn & Connie Guttersen, residents of Napa Valley for over 20 years.

I didn’t know much about the winery but I am very familiar with the work of Steve Reynolds and when I tasted it I knew I had stumbled on some hidden quality. When you consider this crazy price drop on top of it, it’s a perfect match for your glass and warm weather. I’ve got 6 cases of this wine IN STOCK and at this price it’s sure to go fast. Grab yours today.

Information on this wine is very limited including pictures. The picture above is the only one I could find. The wine is NOT a rose, it just seems to have a pink hue in this photo.

MySomm Tasting Notes: “This is a medium-bodied wine with a more round texture than most Sauvignon Blancs. There are aromas of sage, baked apples, & lemon zest. That medium-bodied palate I mentioned earlier contains flavors of lemongrass & ginger as well as white flowers and not-too-ripe pineapple. The finish has good acidity and minerality but is also round and rich with a lingering mouthfeel reminiscent of an Alsatian Pinot Blanc.”
