Good Morning Ladies & Gentlemen,

I hope that everyone survived Delta with minimal physical damage and that by now you are all sitting in your air conditioned homes with full power again.  By all signs it's going to be a GORGEOUS weekend, the perfect weather for some great Pinot Noir drinking.  

In France it is mandated that you retire at the age of 65.  But when that day came for Louis Jadot's long time wine maker, Jacques Lardière, he wasn't ready to hang it up.  So in 2013 Jacques partnered with his old Jadot family and opened Rèsonance in the Willamette Valley.  

The result has been a harmonious melding of Old World and New, with the terroir of Willamette Valley producing some greatness in the hands of one of Burgundy's master vintners.  




MySomm Tasting Notes:

"You can definitely tell that this is 100% Pinot Noir as it has a lighter hue and a very traditional looking Burgundy color. The nose is bright and pretty, showing elegant fruit expressions like fresh bing cherry & extra ripe raspberries.  It also displays some interesting hints of mocha and baking spices.  Once the wine hits the palate it becomes even more impressive with a texture that is soft and round and elegant.  The flavors displayed are bold with ripe, darker cherry tones, some succulent juicy plum, & a distinctly beautiful floral & mineral character on the long, bright finish.  Drink now-2024.





Here's an awesome recipe provided to me by a very good friend who is an excellent cook.  This dish and this wine make a harmonious pair.

Cedar Plank Salmon
*Salmon Fillet
*1 Tbsp Creole Mustard
*1 Tbsp Honey
*1 Tbsp Fresh Rosemary, Chopped
*Zest of 1 Lemon

Mix mustard, honey, rosemary, & lemon and coat salmon.  Grill on cedar plank 12-16 minutes depending on thickness and desired doneness.  Serve with salad of fresh arugula, goat cheese, & fresh berries.
